Turkey BOWL!

After driving to Riverside last year in search of a Turkey Bowl game...I decided to host one myself.

After getting 20 flags, a new football and an Orange Cooler for refreshments...we were set to go Turkey Bowl it up!

Over 30 people showed up to this First Annual Turkey Bowl! I was surprised at the outcome...as I was hoping for at least 10-15 people. Obviously, the larger turnout was welcomed! Just not anticipated.

I'd say that about half of the players were kids and the rest, 20 something guys...or guys who THINK or WISH they were still 20 something. =)

The youth ended up being an asset this year, as initially they were loosely covered...the defense was tightened up after some BIG successful plays.

After playing a few "quarters" we decided that we had way to many people on the field (as more continued to show up). We then broke up the growing number of people into 4 teams and played a little tourney.

In the end it turned out to be a fantastic time!

Private Holiday KICK-OFF Party!

We had a wonderful time at this "Party!" Jannene really liked the fact that Small World had been totally redone. Everything had a fresh coat of paint. That was a nice touch. Jannene was a real trooper as she couldn't ride any of the roller coasters this year since she is pregnant. She was wise, as she decided even tho there might only be a "little" risk if she rides one, the risk is great...as it would be very sad if something happened due to the rides. We had a lot of fun though!

Look closely....what do you see?

The ornaments on this tree were HUGE! The tree this year is 60 FEET tall! As you can see, the ornaments are as big or LARGER than our heads! It was crazy to see this! I didn't know that they made ornaments THIS BIG! It was a lot of fun! We watched them officially turn on the lights and the tree before we (and 5,000 others) went into the park.

We couldn't get Mario to let go of the kettle corn all night! Actually, for some reason he got stuck with all of the popcorn (eventually he carried two bags with him most of the night).

We are proud to introduce our little...."flickering light?"

Yes...if you look closely at that little "ring," there is a little tiny dot on the top, left side. That little "flicker of light" is our baby.

For the record, "flicker of light" is the correct medical term, as I am quoting our OBGYN.

It turns out that our first appointment was a little early, as the baby was only 6 weeks old when this photo (ultrasound) was taken.

Hmmmmm....this puts us in a little predicament. We have been asked to come back in 5-6 weeks. By that time the baby will be 11 or 12 weeks along, and we will have a much different photo then. Possibly a peanut not just a ring with a "flickering light"

Jannene, her mom, step mom and some friends think this little flickering light is a girl. However, other friends of ours think it is a boy. Since, we are way to early...let's take a little poll, what do you think, Girl or Boy?

Halloween 2008!

As Jack and Sally we lived it up at a party that Jannene and Sunny hosted.

If only Mario had stayed out of the apple dip.
