Our Visit to the 'Dead and Breakfast Inn'

As members of the LEM (League of Extraordinary Monsters), we attended the Bi-Millennium Convention with other monsters from around the world. Our Creator... the Scientist, stayed with Grandma and Grandpa while we were in attendance. The convention was held at the dreadful Dead & Breakfast Inn.

As you can see... the Inn is very relaxing.

Frankenstein and The Bride of Frankenstein

They were the dead of the party.

Our Host... and Frankenstein

The camera got a little close to these two monsters. They don't appear very happy about it.

Count Dracula, Mummy, Veronica the Vampire and a Wizard

Medusa, a Ghost, Inn Staff, Lucifer and a Witch

Fate

Nightmare... the black cat

A lil' group photo.

Grim celebrated his one billionth kill... so he claimed.

Betty the Bat was yet to arrive.

All monsters were listening, some happily and others in mourning at the news of the death of a fellow monster.

Most of the LEM... some had to leave, while another never showed, due to an unfortunate (some consider it fortunate) early end to the werewolf's life.

Friday, October 29

It's been how long? Yikes! Better late than never..., right?

School, work, the new baby (that is still in the "oven"), Connor, and our life in general is going very well. It has been a while since we've blogged. The biggest factor is life... we just get busy. The other factor, blogger. The ability to only load five photos at a time, creates a desire not to blog as much due to feeling like we have to blog all the time, to avoid these long posts. If life wasn't so busy, blogging more frequently (like we used to) would be possible. With that said, several friends blog a lot more than we do... and they have busy lives too. Maybe we just need to do it. Either way... here goes.

First off... here are our newest stamps! We got these in a few weeks ago.
Connor the Astronaut

He just loves BOOKS!

Slam dunk!

One of Solvang's Guards

Connor just LOVES watermelon!

Some Disneyland photos.

Action figures now come with a BABY!

One in every box!

Jannene wanted the car that rocked back and forth as it went around... Johnathan and Connor were in for a surprise.

Look Mom, I can see Pluto!

After Disneyland (a few days or weeks later) we headed to the California Science Center with some friends, Joe, Kristine and Andrew.

Coming out of the exhibit.

Jannene took this picture. Johnathan took the next one.

We also visited the L.A. Zoo with Cheryl and Jan

That little stuffed animal/puppet roars as you use it... Connor loved it! Thanks Grandma Cheryl. He still uses it, and likes to play with it on car rides.

O.C. Fair is next

Why do we have a picture of a security guard... ?

Hey!

She's wearing the same color as Johnathan! Yeah, Jannene is not a fan of Johnathan's shirt. She refused to go into the Fair with him wearing it... so, after one more photo, the shirt stayed in the trunk. Which is much better than where Jannene wanted it to end up.

Quite possibly the only "family" shot this shirt will ever be allowed in.

Jannene is much happier now. And who's that behind Connor?

It is the first clown ever to be photographed with, around, or come near Connor. He did okay. However the clown took no chances. He said he wanted the baby held, and then he'd make his approach just in time for the photo to be snapped.

Mamma (Jannene), always has to 'touch' the animals.

Connor's first time of touching a baby chicken. This lady told some other kids; "Do you like what you see? Is this cute?" Kids: "Yes!" Lady: "Well, remember that next time you go to McDonald's!"

Jannene and Johnathan got to ride this... crazy! It holds 4 or 8 people at a time and spins you around like mad!

Presenting some plays that helped make our ward the Corona Stake Softball Champions! Well, we don't have a lot of photos of the event. We know there are more out there, however these will have to do for the sake of this post. In these photos you can see Johnathan (through the fence) adding a base hit, before he is brought around to Home by a fellow teammate.

Advancing to third was a bit "tricky" however, Johnathan made it and then was brought home by the next batter.

Heading to Mimi's after the victory! Connor loves to lounge in his car seat!

While at Mimi's, Connor found a slice of watermelon. Usually he's all about the camera. This time he gave up center stage to his friend Porter, while Connor dove into a delicious melon.

He looks as if he's thinking, "Oh. There's a camera there. Wonder how long that's been out? Hmmm... Oh well, this is YUMMMMY!

Visiting Jannene's cousins was fun. The highlight of the trip was the baby shower. While the girls attended the shower, the menfolk pulled out a game of Acquire... since there was time to kill.

Maren, Lorisa, and Jannene

The happy couple... and their "diaper" cake!

This was just too cute not to post.

After Johnathan completed P90X, Connor decided he wanted to do a workout of his own!

We went to a Dodger's Game with Mario and his family. Before the game we stopped at Tommy's.

This is what Johnathan ordered...

...this is what he got! Does anyone see a pickle, a tomato, or anything besides Chili?

Here are some shots of all of us 'pigging out.'

Mom! I want that pickle! How dare you eat it?

First haircut!

Yes... it got a little LONG!

Just a few minutes later... and look how much older he looks! WoW!

Spending time with Grandpa Dave in the shop is fun... even more fun when he leaves his glasses on in the kitchen.

Connor's first time of playing with a garden hose. He loved this!

Off to the park...

Yeah! Slides are fun!

Halloween Style Mini Golf (10/29)

He created us! <-- A little Role reversal!

The head of this spider moved back and forth from time to time. At first Connor was nervous... then he decided he would be brave and pick up the Spider's leg.

And pat it on the head.

Hi guys! This place is fun! And look they give free...

...chew toys. This guy isn't going to miss it.
